Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) Medication

Aspirin:  Baby aspirin or “low-dose” aspirin (81 mg) helps to lower the chances of certain types of miscarriages. Some miscarriages are caused by a poorly lined uterus.  As for helping with the uterine lining, it is believed that aspirin helps with the blood flow to the ovaries and uterus.

 Birth Control Pill:  A daily pill that contains hormones to change the way the body works and prevent pregnancy. Hormones are chemical substances that control the functioning of the body’s organs. In this case, the hormones in the Pill control the ovaries and the uterus.

Doxycycline: is a tetracycline antibiotic used to treat different types of bacterial infections.

 Estrace: This medicine is a female hormone (estrogen).

Intramuscular Injection: Is the injection of a substance directly into a muscle.

Lupron: A man-made form of a hormone that regulates many processes in the body.   Leuprolide overstimulates the body’s own production of certain hormones, which causes that production to shut down temporarily. It reduces the amount of testosterone in men or estrogen in women.

Prenatal Vitamin: A vitamin supplement intended to be taken before and during pregnancy and during postnatal lactation.

Progesterone in Oil: A progestin hormone in sesame oil given via injection.

Subcutaneous Injection: the layer of skin directly below the dermis and epidermis.

Vivelle Patches: Estrogen in patch form.
